Help Conserve Energy

Energy officials are encouraging residents to conserve electricity and gas. With the limited availability of natural gas from the Aliso Canyon storage facility, there is less natural gas locally to produce electricity.

Gas consumption is especially high during the summer. SoCal will make every effort to avoid loss of gas service to residential areas, however the lack of local gas storage may result in increased instance of electrical blackouts across Southern California.  Click here to learn more about energy conservation.
